At first wide-eyed and pure souled
Never to be marred
Welcomed by kami
Protected from bad demons
Cleansed with Harae
The life within trees
Empowering troubled souls
Drive evil away
Charms and rituals
Bring good fortune and safety
Do not fear the dark
Death is to be feared
For the end is permanent
Soul is cast away
Crossing the river
Forever imprisoned here
