The Thief of My Heart
The one with my heart.
He stole my heart at midnight.
My heart, not a toy.
This heart has many scars.
Though all the scars, he takes it.
Did he commit crime?
Now my heart lies safe.
As safe as it has ever been.
Safe because a thief.
The robber did good.
Praise him not to go to Hell.
He is saving me.
The thief has my heart
Locked in box under lock and key
He possesses it.
I trust him with it
Trust, though I know pain will come.
I hope it doesn't.
Knowledge kills my hope
I know he'll hurt me in time.
I'm counting the days.
