I can see what you were going for and I liked the idea of keeping it short and powerful, but the only real explanation of the piece I got was from your author comment and the last line. Maybe you could try and draw it out only a tiny bit more so that we can really get a sense of the poem. But it was nice and I enjoyed reading it :)
