The green cactus blooms
Birds eating the wild life seeds
The needles are doom
Greens’ desperate need
Crunchy brown earths just bare breath
The water that feeds
Dry valley of death
Where life seems to animate
Hiding underneath
Their bodies that grate
Against the sand paper ground
Keep from being ate
Rocks get heated all around
With out making a great sound
