I will forgive you
When the leaves slowly descend
And litter the ground.
I will forgive you
But your “sorry” means nothing
And it never will.
I will forgive you
When both of us have suffered
And begged for silence.
I will forgive you
Even though the harsh voices
Wish to seek revenge.
I will forgive you
Because I’m strong enough to
Liberate myself.
