Remember to Forget me

Roses lined the paths
Everyone else took, but we
Met by quiet lakes

Evenings spent giggling –
My laughs echoed on your skin
Bare in summer heat

“Ends come to all things.”
Reminding me of that, you
Took my hand and begged

Of me, “Remember,
Far into the bleak future,
Our time of being.”

Request accepted.
Great, but I would not of you
Ever ask the same

Today, I think on
My fate alone, a ghost to
Everyone and you

I like it but I don't believe it is a haiku because haikus have a 5-7-5 syllable structure and this does not follow that. But it was a great story.

Very nice. This is definitely the first the Acrostic Haiku I have seen here. That is wonderfully written as well! Great job.

Please read my work, and leave a comment or rate.

Kudos.
