My body is like a garden
With lavender sprouting from my hair
And roses adorning my thighs
Daisies growing upson my stomach
Sunflower stems for legs
Orchids for eyes
You admire from a distance
You walk up and take in my scent
Sweet yet strong
All summer you treat me like a prize
Then fall and winter come like a train
Fast and unstoppable
I then become an inconvenience
The lavender you once caressed you now tear from my head
The roses which you once admired you now cut like a cancer
The daisies that you once loved so dearly you now hack away at like a dead tree
The sunflower stems that held me high you pull away like weeds
And the orchids
That held my soul
The ones that once held your love you now smash like a window in a brutal storm
Despite your abuse
I will grow again
I will come back stronger and wiser
I will come back next year better than I ever was
I will rise
