And Yet Here I Am
Suicidal, she walked through the halls everyday
‘Till the cloud of black and rain of red
Offered an out
She knew she could not deny
Worry not, she was alone
It could never affect you and I
I think
I’m assured it could not
However blue should life get
We’re smarter than that
The lies of suicide
Could surely only affect the diseased
Our lives are meant for
Existence
Why ponder the ways to eliminate ourselves
Certainly naught could be better
Of course we’re safe
People like you and I
And yet here I am
With a gun in my hand
