A White Rose
I fell in love with the way she remains a white rose, growing taller after a volcanic eruption
With how a little ash and dust doesn't get her down, but helps her grow
I love how she is surrounded by fire and smoke while she soaks in the sun's rays
While the reflection of the burning hot lava makes her look red
She laughs at the volcano and says "I'm still here"
I feel in love with the way she fights to keep her roots where they grew
With how she is the sunlight in all my blackouts
I love how her petals fall but never touch the ground and burn
While the whole world is against her
She laughs and tells them to f*** off
I fell in love with the way she fights against something bigger than her
With how determined she is to get out of all the ash and dust
I love how she will give her water to a daisy that has already wilted
While the volcano powers up for round two
She laughs because the volcano is in her head
