How could this happen?
How could this be?

The other day I failed my test,
should have studied I guess.
I quit the robotics team,
it was a little too dramatic.
I missed the make up date,
Ms. J was less than ecstatic.

But this old lady showed me a ball of crystal,
and inside was a future me.

But the strangest thing about it was:
that I had a college degree.
Not only that, but a wife, kids, a place of my own.
A job that wasn’t at a restaurant,
And on top of that - debt free!

How could this happen?
How could this be?
There’s no way this is the future,
of  someone who acts
like me.
