Two Tone
On the outside I am a flavorful yellow-
perfectionist and a dreamer,
dazzling and blemishless,
high-pitched, energy filled, and
never a frown in sight.
The other side of me hides behind closed doors-
a storm cloud grey,
Casting shadows everywhere it goes,
carrying dumbbells on my shoulders
from what has happened in the past.
I keep the storm clouds to myself, and share my vibrant rays instead-
these two colors define me,
bright and dull,
fluorescent and monotone,
They have become balanced within.
