I am me
I am a soft pink Wisconsin sunset—
brisk but beautiful,
loud but lethargic,
but sometime not always there.
I am simple and sweet:
swift but tired as I fade into the night,
you can see it in the horizon,
but you can't manage to look away.
I am as fierce as a red campfire—
loud and incharge,
subtle but not bossy,
but sometimes burned out.
I am restless and rugged:
hardworking and hungry for challenges,
mesmerizing as my wood snaps in the flames,
but buried in burning ash.
Slowly,
silently,
slipping
away.
