What Matters
What matters is that you have a good grade.
It doesn't matter that you no longer sleep at night.
It doesn’t matter that you’ve lost any sense of sanity.
It doesn't matter that you bled to get that grade.
What matters is your GPA.
It doesn't matter that you could only think in percentages.
It doesn't matter that you lost your morals if only to pass the test.
It doesn't matter that you can't remember what it feels like to laugh.
What matters is your SAT score.
It doesn't matter that you gave up seeing your family to study.
It doesn't matter that you can't tell up from down anymore.
It doesn't matter that you died a little more each day you waited for the results.
What matters is what they think of you.
It doesn't matter that your smile is faked.
It doesn't matter that you have nothing left of you but a GPA.
it doesn't matter that you don't know who you are anymore.
Because at least you have a good grade.
And that is all the matters.
