Sunrise, harsh against the sunrise
Wake up, stretch, then take your dose of daily lies
"No arts, just math." "Poetry gains nothing."
"English only needs grammar, so pull out your slammer and STOP WRITING!"
But you've had enough
A muse takes your fancy; ink spills across the page
"Stop," they say, but suddenly you are overcome with rage.
You throw down your textbook and look them in the eyes.
"Creativity waits for no one." Then you take to the skies.
