the walk.
It was one of those days where the tempurature wasn’t too warm but it wasn’t too cold. We had gotten used to the cold, so fifty-five degrees was perfect for us. We had all day together to do anything we wanted. We were comtemplating all of the things we could do, and we chose to walk, of all things, walk. So we started down that long, long backroad and began to take everything in. I took deep breaths, and I smelled the freshness that had been covered by snow for too long, I felt the slight southbound breeze lifting my hair from my neck and back and whispered thousands of little secrets. The sun shined just a little brighter everytime I took another breath. My body began to feel free and then I felt his hand slide around mine. I tasted the life I’d been trying to get back just on the horizon, and I wished I could never home.
