The Way

I want to see the way your smile forms,
the way your body moves when you laugh.
I want to see the way the wind adjusts your hair
and the way your cheeks light up in the cold.
I want to see your eyes when you’ve slept for too long,
or when you see something completely new.
I want to know how your skin will react
when it finally meets my own,
and I want to see all the ways
you can show me you love me.
