Short Serenity
As I walk the beach,
the moon smiles at me.
The heat of this summer night
warms my heart.
I walk the beach in awe,
as the waves fuel comfort inside my heart.
My toes curl in the sand,
embracing its conformity to them.
As I walk the beach,
wind whispers through my fingers.
My body shivers in the air,
reacting to the wind’s bite.
I walk the beach in awe,
for it beauty is captivating.
I look up sadly to see
my car waiting for me.
My heart longs to stay,
but life moves me onward.
I hope to embrace the beach again
And the short serenity it granted me.
