Walking on a hard floor
With beat up shoes
Every day
I forget to pay my dues
I walk through the valley
Of echoed voices
I do what i'm told
And make good choices

Silent thoughts
loud meanings
The weight of education
burns my spine
Cracks my shoes
I pace willingly
To a forced destination

Malicious doorways
Pernicious classrooms
A resting place for many
But never their last
As they are all the same
As me
