This deceitful demon, this devilish dreamer,
She spits on my skin and strengthens my screams.
Her manipulative mirage mocks my mind,
And I can’t counter her control.
Her sleepless nights are spent snickering in success
While I fight furiously to find a way to force her out.
But I’m her home, her hammock, her humble highway
That leads nowhere and to nothing and never gets a break.
I am my own persecutor, perfectly poisoning myself,
Able to look myself in the eyes
And find every flaw and failure without flinching.
