Never have I cared about a dog so much
He was the light in my night
He was the Robin to my Batman
A chocolate lab
His skin folds under his mouth
At the end of his lick there would be a “chomp”
But like most things in life
They come and they go
I would never forget his smell
I would never forget his eyes
I would never forget the way he used to twist and turn on his back
I would never forget him
