Chicago
I left my heart in Chicago,
The golden morning sun
Dancing into my bedroom
And greeted me every morning.
I left my heart in Chicago
Where I would run downstairs
And across the street
As fast as my little legs could take me
To see the seals every day.
The zoo covered from head to toe
In the Christmas lights.
I left my heart in Chicago
Where the buildings
Protecting me from the dangers of the world.
I left my heart in Chicago
Driving away
But now
I can finally see what’s out there.
