The Home Inside His Head.
His is a delicate mind,
yet rough around the edges.
It holds a universe of countless thoughts,
but refrains from letting the world know them.
He has learned to keep his mind solely to himself,
for the ones who had gotten the privilege of discovering his universe destroyed his trust.
This trust he no longer has keeps me out of his mind,
and it wrecks me that he lives in that head of his alone.
His head is a home that I remain locked out of,
for he fears the vulnerability of an open door.
