Where Im From
I was born into a world of violence.
A week after Columbine, an event that defined my generation, yet—
I am from a generation, with less silence.
With reason, and explanation.
I am from a place with technology and people with prospering opinions.
I am from a place made of metal, and code.
I am from a place with robots new and old.
I am from a time when six weeks is all heart and time dedication.
Six Second place trophies, in four years, four years I grew.
Four years, fun and robotics challenges I have been through
I am from a place where four years isn’t enough time change.
But it is enough time too, strange.
I am from a place where I show my brilliance.
I have necessary resources at my fingertips.
I’ve be able to take and class to improve my creativity.
I’ve help build eight robots, and one of my own.
This is a place I should of shown I cared.
Should've presented my brilliance before and after school.
One last semester of good grades isn’t going to help the last seven.
I need to do well, to show myself I can my manage time.
At this point I realize I need to impress myself more than others.
I am from a time of self reflection and realization.
Are you from the same place?
