Front pocket of your denim jacket
Late night calls, broken promises, and nightmares
Teared my soul apart,
And my tongue kept it's place , tied in a knot
Your voice kept calling my name,
As I struggled to breathe,
And my tears fell heavy,
But your voice sounded lighter then I knew.
Hello there love,
I hope you find the best in you.
Without me,
As I keep my destroyed soul away,
From your pale fingertips and the perfect nails,
Trying to mend the shattered pieces, tearing apart my heart,
By loving me tonight.
I'm no good for you, you're to pure to be real,
So take your dreams away from me,
And your beautiful smile,
I'm no rose without the thorns, ready to be carried away in the front pocket of you denim jacket,
I'm just another thorn in the sea of roses.
I don't know how to love you in the way that you want me to.
I don't even know how to love myself.
Be brave, I'll meet you there,
On the edge of the bridge that I couldn't burn.
