Damage
Water whips like a tornado
As sudden as the shot of a gun,
It abolishes their world.
Poor victim, scared to death
Of what will come next.
There’s damage
Can’t be undone
These people will never be the same;
Their lives forever changed.
Their souls,
Crushed.
Almost as much as their home around them.
It’s a disaster.
How could they master the escape?
They couldn’t.
And now there’s damage.
Unmendable, indescribable.
In their souls,
No matter how old.
Forever damaged.
