Pink Walls
After a long day of play,
I would tuck myself into my flowery bed spread
In my pretty pink room.
In my matching pajama set,
I would kiss my mom good night.
All earlier through the day
I would be running around with friends
Or learning how to count to 10 in a classroom.
I would gossip with the girls
And kick a ball around,
Competing with the boys to see who could kick farther
And i would always win.
My curly hair and bangs
With my plaid skirts and flare jeans
Thinking i was a princess.
I was only a tiny little girl,
Ready to take on the world,
Waking up inside of my pink walls.
