Voyage
Desperately gripping the mast,
Rain and seawater whipped her back and forth.
Thunder and lightning surrounded, crowded,
The storm darkening and clouding her mind.
But a voice, a light, a sun,
Stretched forth, taking her by the hand and giving her strength to stand.
Hungry waves were smoothed, the gentle wind caressed her skin.
Her eyes dried, and she took control of the sails.
