Cracked Smiles
My warped perspectives are not understood,
Because while looking through the cracked windows that are my eyes, my sunshine can't be reached-
I look into the version of reality and see only a mass,
A crowd of people opposite of who I am with only little strings attaching each other,
So easily cut.
The rain may come but I see are the drops,
Thinking maybe now I can let out my tears without much notice-
The views from my eyes see only pain,
The falseness of some smiles,
And the newly formed scars on wrists.
Darkness is no longer a stranger.
The sun is on the other side, upside down-
Visible but unreachable.
The only option to get to the light which is supposed to be happiness
is to turn upside down everything the I remember.
Depression is now comforting,
So I will hide behind my eyes
And now pretend to be a cookie cutter.
With no rebellious thoughts of different perspectives-
Fit into the mold that is found on your doorstep, beautifully Wrapped to cover the ugly that is inside.
"I really hope you like this new you!",
Sincerely,
Society

People are hard to understand, but don't stop trying to. Once you can break through the wall they build up, yo'll be able to see who they really are. They try to protect themselves from being different but You'll be able to see how beautiful they were before society made them feel like that person wasn't good enough.
