Look Beyond
Dead ahead, the wonders of the other side would be answered
A light fog masked the secrets, due to arrive
The bright green trees below reflect a tint onto the bridge
The path is clouded, spooky, it seems
For I could not see several feet in front of me,
Beams linking the fencing to the poles
Appeared to close in on the one who walked to and fro
Oh, but the color, that beautiful green
Could make a walk comforting
The color is suddenly disturbed
As two piercing flashes
Start a ripple in the pond of green
Contrast of colors colliding with one another
Tall trees tower from the ground below
Nearly touching the bridge
As if to say “we’ll catch you if you let go”
