We are here
Brothers in arms, we fight
Forsaken our self righteousness
Remembering those we left behind
Belonging to those we fight beside
Bombs explode, Rifles are fired, Die are rolled
lives are taken so some are saved
Fathers in arms, we fight
Leaving our aspirations behind
We look to the future
Forth from the smoke
Hearts break, tears shed, lives bet
War is a blight heading progress
We were here.
