Wishes
Wishing upon a star, questioning its location
One day hoping this will make true
To be more than the average
More than the one who has no say
More than this “old” me
Longing for the house on the hills
All the perfect perfections
What’s to say I can’t dream to be
Dreaming free yet trapped between wounds
Wounds of reality
Wounds of my visions caged in my mind
??awaiting to be set free
??ready to sore the limits of the sky
Lying in the night
So gentle and still
Yet the loud, raging thoughts in my mind roam as if they never sleep
Where for once I matter
Only time the cares around are the cares of my own
The cares which only I control
Wanting to be greater
Changing the world’s perception
Who’s to say I can’t be
Soon the ambition in me will escape the bars fenced around my mind
To stand at attention
Face to face ready for war
War between the reality of this world and the power of my wits
Seeking to be the trophy
I will be !
