Dwindling Shadows
I watched how their words changed you,
And you lost yourself to whispers.
While your body erased itself from the world,
Everyone tiptoed in your dwindling shadows.
I wasn't sure if you would ever grow back.
And when I look at you now,
I think I still see skin and bones in your eyes.
