I watched how their words changed you,

And you lost yourself to whispers.

While your body erased itself from the world,

Everyone tiptoed in your dwindling shadows.

I wasn't sure if you would ever grow back.

 

And when I look at you now,

I think I still see skin and bones in your eyes.

This piece was inspired by watching one of my best friends suffer from Anorexia.
