A Day
Clouds cloaked the sun
White to grey to black
Drop, Drop, Drop
One by one
They drenched my red jacket
Drop, Drop, Drop
I prayed that I brought a raincoat
but instead
I got my mom to tell me to go back inside,
The sun broke through the clouds,
Dried up all the rain
My mom asked,
“Hey, do you want to go to the playground with your friends.”
I said,
“Hell ya, let's go”
We played and played for hours and hours
We froliced in the playground with a green ball,
Throwing it, rolling it, bouncing it,
But then it was time to leave,
My mom said,
“Why don’t we get some ice cream with your friends”
And we played once more.
Rain can’t stop my fun time with my friends.
