Spring's Breath
Chocolate branches pull sunlight from reluctant sky,
Whistling gently in cool, clean breeze.
What smells of a freshly planted garden
Has been growing for many millennia.
Vibrant chlorophyll emerges on each leaf,
Wildly coloring a wooden world.
Crowded trunks falsely manifest asphyxiation,
But only exude respiration.
Eager vegetation stretches forth,
Resting its fingers along the carefully, cut path.
Though the surrounding environment seems still,
Every inhale is met with a billion exhales.
