Summertime
Waves crashing against the dock
Hot sand between your toes
On the seashore you see rocks
As the water calmly flows.
Your skin is peeling from the sun
But you don’t mind
Because it reminds you of all the fun
And the happiness of humankind.
A cool breeze runs through your bones
And the wind runs through your hair.
You don’t even bother to look at your phone
Since you’re so enjoying the light air.
The days are long and relaxing
While the nights are so exciting.
You spend the sunset dancing
And the sunrise enjoying the lighting.
A smile comes over your face
And a happy thought enters your head.
There’s no need for rushing to take place
Because you have all summer get ahead.
