Getting Older Means Changes
At one point in our lives
We tell our parents
That we’ll always be young
That we’ll never grow up
But we always do
From them watching our
First steps
To watching us walk to our
First car
From them telling us to
“Go to sleep”
To them telling us to
“Wake up”
From them paying
For toys
To them paying
For college
We tell our parents
We’re only getting older

I was inspired to do this because I saw a poem on this website called "The Truth About Growing Up" and it really made me think about this.
