If I told you my heart was broken would you help me glue them back in place?
Would you see the pain in my eyes like no one else in this place?
Would you go out of the way to make me understand what I am and what I can’t erase?
Would you look with love instead of fear and pity that I see in my face?
Would you remind me every day or two that I am okay?
Would I be a burden if you had to tell me to eat every day?
Would you control me while I am vulnerable and would you walk away?
Don’t pity me, or tell me you can fix me within one day.
My wounds are open, and they bleed every day.
My heart slowly cracks and the pieces turn to ash.
Can you see the wounds that are invisible on my arms and face?
Would you run if you saw that they are now real and they will not erase?
Would you try to convince me that what I am doing is just an overdramatic phase?
Would you tell me I am something, or would you just say nothing?
Would you be scared if I say that I am not okay?
Do you see me crying for help, and crying for peace behind my timid face?
If I told you that depression is now my only thought what would you say?
If I told you what I think about myself and life in all ways what would your eyes say?
Would you tell me how to be okay?
