Contract
I should have read the contract on love,
Should have read the italicized words of falling
The clauses of heartbreak.
Second guessed the dotted line on which my identity rode on.
The pen as beautiful as the deepest sunset pricked my finger,
And instead of sending just my name,
It sent my heart with.
Now it sends my heart into every soul that has touched mine.
Suffering, grief, and unrequitment may be present,
Yet, why would you regret giving all your efforts to those whom you think deserve it?
To love with the deepest parts of your being,
May be a curse.
After all, you lose parts each time one walks.
Yet it is a blessing.
To feel a manifestation so strong,
Beating in the cage of your chest.
Yearning for those who feed it,
To stay with it forever.

I wrote this for myself actually, for me to realize that I see the world differently. And it's okay to love differently than others.
