Her...
Her eyes were like
Sapphires
When the sun
Smiles toward the
Earth.
Her hair was fire -
So red, that Mars
Became jealous.
Her smile was
The Fault in my Stars.
The way she focused
On nothing more
Than what was in front of
Her
Was incredibly intoxicating.
Her laughter was all
That my ears
Longed to hear,
Almost like a song
Stuck in your
Head.
But when you hear
The bang of a gun,
You realize that life
Can be taken
At any moment,
And though her heart
Stopped beating,
Your lungs
Can no longer
Breathe.

This was my mid-term poem for my Creative Writing class, with a bit of editing.
