and softly she fades,
like warm sunlight,
swallowed by the moon,
on a Tuesday evening
and softly she fades,
almost infinitesimally so,
like sprinkling rain
that stops so slowly
nobody
notices
and softly she fades,
from a kaleidoscope
of wild colors
to a tame,
empty sort
of grey.
