?I have this tendency to shake profusely?
On first dates?
And tear up napkins underneath?
The table,?
As I struggle to come up something to say
Sometimes, perhaps even often,
I am not nice at all?
I am as bitter as the coffee rinds
Of the coffee I forgot to drink
This morning
Often I am upset
For the stupidest of reasons
I punch couches,
Or break things I shouldn’t,
Like the fine china we had been
Saving for a special occasion.
The shards on the floor only remind me
What I have broken,I cannot
fix.
