Falling
The autumn leaves flourish
Having no end in sight
Becoming the perfect nourish
To the summer heart’s bite
The trees wobble about
Down from the branches to the root
My eyes gaze upon it, lacking a doubt
That next year again it will bare decadent fruit
The lovely leaves begin to fall
And the branches hang their heads
Only to hear them in a ball
As once again they lie in their beds.
Then again comes
that time of year
Accompanied by a jubilant tear.
