If you want something go for it.

As I sit on this hill over looking my past present and future self.
I weep for my past self because she does not know all the pain that is to come.
I rejoice for my future self because she has achieved what she has wished for.
But as I glance upon my present self I watch with bated breath as she sits among the snakes that will bite her.
Laughing and carrying on with the monsters who will just destroy her.
They have half a face of an angel and the other the half of a demon.
They lay in wait to watch me fall so they can laugh among themselves.
I close my eyes as a single tear falls from my eye.
I thank my past, I forgive my future self.
But I can't apologize to my present self.
For it was I who let me lay among the angel faced demons.
It was I and I alone to blame for my future being delayed.
So I ask my present self in a whisper sigh, can I accept what I have become?
A thoughtful look graces my present self she looks around at the Angel faced demons.
She stands and walks away to a meadow with no one it.
She looks up at me then nods.
It will be better to be alone than to suffer the pain they can cause.
You ask me if I can accept what I have become?
But I have become nothing yet.
I am still learning.
I am still watching.
So let me sit with the snakes and be bitten.
For it will make me wiser.
Let me sit with the monsters so I may be scared.
For I must face my fears.
Let me sit with the Angel faced demons.
For I must learn to see the insides of people.
I look my present self in the face and nod.
Be wise.
Be observant.
Be strong.
She smiles at me then goes and sits among the evil ones once again.
I look at my past self who is broken beyond repair.
I look at my future self who is strong and beautiful.
I look at my present self who is broken strong and beautiful.
I smile. Then look up at the sky.
I shall learn.
I shall conquer.
I shall see.
But not today.
Not yesterday.
But possibly tomorrow.
