Love is devotion
Love is sacrifice with a smile
Love is pain perfected
     if you're into that
Love is joy in foregoing
Love is happiness in another's smile
Love is unending frustration and running mascara
Love is the sensation of both flying and falling
Love is sinking while soaring
Love is a gentle kiss from bruised and bloody lips
Love is disgusting, messy, and unpolished

Love is not a gender, an age, a stage, a dream
Love is not perfect
Love is not easy
Love is not a choice
     but devotion is
