Favorite Quote:
I have not failed, I just found 10,000 ways to not succeed.

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

In the eyes of others, he is known as a bully.

Just a bully, cold-hearted, mean, ruthless.
I'm school, he beats up kids after class
And skips his classes and when he is there,
He talks back to the teacher and kicks up
His feet in top of the desk and slacks off.
But then, he goes home.

The "bully" goes home and his mom,
Seeing his terrible grades yells at him
For not studying even though he can't.
He needs to work to support his family,
But daddy smacks him across the face
For not trying hard enough for education
And so he goes into his room in tears
Because he disappointed his family.
And he looks down at the 10 cents he has
Some daddy took all the money for alcohol.
So he goes to class and mugs the top student
And runs away on a skateboard, which was
The only thing he could afford in his 14th birthday.
The birthday where daddy was drinking in the bar
And mommy was too busy taking care of the kids.
So he looks at the seven dollars he took
And goes to buy cigarettes at the gas station
Because that's all he could afford...

With each smoke comes tears in his eyes,
Begging for life to get easier,
Begging for mommy to not be busy,
Begging for daddy to stop drinking and come home,
Begging to earn more money for his family,
Begging to stay alive.

So everyday at school, he picks on kids,
He is disrespectful to the teachers,
And he slacks off on his grades.
"Because family is more important," he says.

Who is the victim, the kid asking for help,
Or the "bully", who is pleading for help.

This poem is not related to anyone (including myself) on which this poem is based about. I choose to go onto a "bully's" point of view to show the life behind this abusive person. Like they say, "you can't judge a book by its cover." Enjoy.
