&quot;i don&#039;t love you as if you were a rose of salt, topaz or arrow of carnations that propagate fire: i love you as one loves certain dark things, secretly, between the shadow and the soul.&quot;<br /> -Pablo Neruda

There are knicks in the
girls’ bathroom doorknob
and I imagine someone has
a homicidal obsession
and that is where they count
their “privileged” victims.

In high school they all say
the universe is ours to save.
But we ended up just
shrugging our shoulders

and pinning each other up against the lockers.

I write. Though whether that helps me keep my sanity or makes me lose it I shall never know.

I like your observation of the knicks on the doorknob...it seems like something I would think of. I also think you've truly captured a bit of today's society in the second verse.

this is really good, but its kind of awkward, even though it's true. I'm not in highschool yet but i know it does happen.

This is really good, and so true. High school isn't all it's cracked up to be... (for those entering high school). It isn't as terrible as people say and isn't as great as people say. :)

&ldquo;Yes I love him. I love him more than anything else in this world and there is nothing that I would like better than to hold on to him forever. But I know it&#039;s not for the best. So no matter how much my heart is going to break, I&#039;ve got to let him go so he can know just how much I love him. Maybe if I&#039;m lucky, he&#039;ll come back, but if not, I can make it through this.&rdquo;

i like it a lot...:) i turned in some of my own poetry... if it ever makes it on here check it out...thanks and congrats your really good!
