Broken story
Happily disguised
As clear as day, as dark as night, what you see may cause such fright.
For who he appears to be, remains a complete mystery.
As his smile covers the tears, and the knife cut through his skin,
As the floor catches his hollow, decayed body,
You may begin to realize - every smile, laugh and word he spoke was created out of a web of lies.
He walked by
Smiling from ear to ear
His heart was on the ground
Tears shining in his eyes
Though he wore that smile better than anyone around
He looked up, almost asking for a guide
It’s like he needed a map
Just so he could find his way,
So he could run and hide.
He stopped for a moment, As if to catch his breath
He waved goodbye to sadness
Then opened his arms to death
As he fell to the ground the mask that was just a smile began to fade and all we saw was his tear stained face
As he laid motionless, cold to the touch.
We all began to realize no one is ever as they seem.
His eyes closed - His heart stopped - and in the end it's as if he was really smiling.... Because the pain had finally gone away.
As I reflect on who I am, I realize the hollow sad boy, is no one other then myself. For I am, nothing but a mask, hiding the scars within.

It's a broken story. It has a clear beginning, middle, and end. It starts off with a boy talking about a man he met and how this man was so lost in his own sadness and despair. Then it goes into detail on how lost this man really is. The ending is what ties it all together. The boy finds out there never really was a man.... He was the one who was lost. He was the one hiding from his true identity, hiding behind mask of happiness.
