Silent Fighter
She was a fighter,
And no one knew
Because she’ll never tell
That every day was war,
That every night was her drowning.
She was a fighter,
And no one knew
Because she’ll never tell
That there was a demon in her lung
that took her breathe each time she tried to speak,
That there were ghosts inside her head
who whispered her to sleep.
She was a fighter,
But you’ll never know because
she hides her battle scars deep within her soul,
And she’ll never cry nor tell
Until the end of time.
