Refugees
“Help us, help us!”
They cried out,
but nobody answered,
nobody came to their aid
They came to us
a swarm running from it’s predators.
A swarm from the middle east yes
but they are people
children, parents, and families
who deserve a chance.
Nobody helped out
when they were in dire need.
So next time
when we need help,
when no one comes
to our aid
Maybe then,
just maybe,
we’ll understand
their pain.
