I am from crab apples, from gatorade and cheerios. I’m from spray painting the house.

I am from the green beans, the bleeding hearts, and the poyker plants. I am from the watermelon and the puke yellow tulips.

I am from Christmas bingo and the loud laughter from Mah Hall. I'm from the strictness of my Aunt Kathy and the Halls being a important name when I go camping.

I am from being told my voice will be put into a song on the radio if I sing enough, and the car slowing down when you put your arm out the window.

I am from a lutheran family. From church every sunday and falling asleep on my mother's shoulder during the service. From my dad making too much breakfast food after.

I am from Flushing Michigan, from my grandma's basement to a small blue house. From chicken tenders and homemade chicken noodle soup.

I am From the laughs on easter at grandma's, the tight hugs from my dad that always make me feel better. From the fun times I have with my brother when we run errands.

I am from the box of pictures in the basement, the scrapbook made for mother's day, and my grandma's camera,
I am from memories that make up my delusional family, from laughs to cries, from loving one another with our whole heart.
